Health Education

  1. Exhibition: The Depar tment of PSM organized and displayed Five Exhibition on HIV/AIDS, coronary heart disease, hypertension and World Health Day theme and Diabetes.
  2. School Healt h: About 56 Heal th Educat ion Programmes ( health talks group discussion etc.) were organized in the schools of rural and urban field pract ice areas on personal hygiene, worm infestat ion, eye care, tobacco, obesit y, ARI , TB, Nut rit ion, Drugs Addiction, Malaria, Dengue, Rabies, HIV/AIDS etc.
  3. Film Show: Organized 22 video films on Immunizat ion, Diarrhoeas, ARI , HIV/AIDS, TB for the undergraduate students of our college.
  4. Health talks/group discussion: This year about 46 Health talks and group discussion were organized and cinducted in th RFPC, UHC, Balmiki Basti, Child Observa ion Home, et c. for children, women and general public. The Health Education Programme was attended by 20-40 persons.
  5. Conducted individual counseling in the OPD of our rural and urban Health centres on various health and social problems by involving interns and residents.
  6. Displayed 80 posters/cha ts in the college and field areas on various health problems.
  7. Distributed about 1000 Heal th Education materials on various health problems to the Health Centres, school teachers and general public.
  8. Production of Health Educat ion material: The Department of Community Medicine produced about 130 posters/ charts, 3 sets of flash cards and about 60 teaching aids.
  9. Received: 3 set s ( books, posters, st ickers at c.) from WHO on World Health Day theme “ Invest in Health a safer future”
  10. Health Education Material supplied to other Departments of College,Nursing student s and hospital on various health problems as per their need.
In Celebration of World Health Day: The Deptt. of Community Medicine organized and conducted the following act ivities in fielkd pract ice areas of the college.The theme for this year is “ Invest in Health Build a safer future”
  1. Displayed about 80 posters/ charts in the Dept t ., RFPC and UHC on World Health Day theme.
  2. Two Healthy Baby Compet it ion organized in Balmiki Basti Health Centre and Delhi Gate Health Centre.
  3. Five quiz programmes were organized in the Balmiki Basti, Child Observation Home ( Prayas), Barwala Health Centre, Urban Health Centre and Delhi Gate. Health centre for General publ; ic and Anganwadi workers of Gokulpuri.
  4. One training programme was organized and conducted in the Barwala Health Centre for girls on TB and HITV/AIDS.
  5. One painting competition was organized in the Child Observation Home (Prayas) and first, second and third were awarded for the same.
  6. Two poster competition were organized and conducted by School children of Govt . Sr,. Sec. School , Gokulpuri ( student s of class I X and XI ) on Dengue and HIV/ AIDS
