Services / Facilities Offered

The department of Anaesthesia & Intensive care is imparting anaesthesia services to all types of surgical procedures (routine & emergency) at LN Hospital, G.N.E.C. & Sushruta Trauma center. In addition department is managing a well equipped 7 bedded ICU at LNH & 6 bedded ICU at sushruta trauma center for the critically ill patients with medical, surgical & traumatic diseases. Both the ICUs are well equipped with state of art, latest ICU ventilators & central monitoring system with facilities of monitoring vital signs & various other invasive & non-invasive parameters including Arterial blood gas analysis.

The dept. is running OPD services in form of PAC clinic (Mon-Sat) to evaluate the patients referred by various surgical units i.e. General surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Burns & Plastic surgery, Peadiatric surgery, Eye surgery for their fitness to undergo various surgical procedures. On an average 80 - 100 patients attend this clinic everyday. Besides this the dept also runs Pain clinic for management of acute & chronic pain from Mon - Fri in the afternoon ( 2 - 4 p.m.). In addition department provides" Resuscitation services in the casualty & emergency wings." Expert services for resuscitation & emergency care for NCT ambulances during Red Alerts.

Teaching & Training of Postgraduate & Undergraduate students (MBBS, BDS), Nursing students, Technical staff & CATS Paramedics.
